Your child will only have one first-school experience. It’s important to get it right.

Preschool sets the foundation for a lifetime of learning. It determines whether children love or simply tolerate school. It either honors or hinders their inner confidence. It sparks the academic, social, and emotional skills all future education builds upon.

Early childhood education is critical — and at KLA Schools preschool in Houston, education is extraordinary from the start because:

  • Learning begins on day one, grounded in the Reggio Emilia approach and decades of research.
  • Children are seen as competent, capable, natural researchers and learners.
  • Innovative learning spaces empower students and stimulate curiosity.
  • Parents are welcome participants in the success and growth of each child.
  • Teachers are active partners, creating unique learning experiences for every child.

UNDERSTOOD

as a strong, capable human

Our expert teachers partner with parents (who we honor as a child’s first teachers) to guide students on their unique learning journeys.

This is extraordinary education, from the start.

Amazing things happen when every school day is designed to support student learning and growth. New ideas come alive. Personalities and passions emerge. School becomes a place that helps children discover themselves and understand the world around them.

See why Newsweek hailed this the “best preschool approach in the world."

The early years are the most important. I wanted my child in a learning environment where her curiosity could be nurtured. The school is nurturing and the teachers are friendly and professional. I feel secure in my decision to enroll my child.

What is the teacher to student ratio?

KLA Schools always have lower ratios than state-required ratios. Lower ratios mean your child gets:

  • More attention, which can have long-lasting positive effects on learning, especially during early years of education
  • The kind of responsiveness that will make your child feel valued, respected, and heard
  • Small group experiences that allow our educators align to the children’s interest and nurture them in a positive way

What is your curriculum?

Our curriculum and principles align with the universal early childhood principles that the World Forum Foundation has found to best support children’s learning and development. The World Forum Foundation  is an international early childhood education research and advocacy group that works to improve the quality of life for all children, regardless of their background. High-quality programs such as ours utilize the research and resources of the WFF as part of our professional development for teachers and to inspire others in our communities to advocate for the rights of young children.
