KLA Schools Celebrate International Mud Day with Fun and Learning

Naperville and Plainfield, IL – July 1, 2024 – On Friday, June 28th, KLA Schools of Naperville and Plainfield celebrated International Mud Day with a series of engaging and messy experiences that brought joy and excitement to students and teachers.

The day was filled with laughter and learning as students explored the sensory experience of mud through various activities. From mud painting to mud sculptures, the children had a chance to get their hands dirty while developing their creativity and motor skills.

One teacher enthusiastically shared, “This was so cool. I’ve never done anything like this before at other schools!” Another added, “Mud Day wasn’t on my bucket list but I actually had a lot of fun, and the children did, too!”

The highlight of the day was when students began spreading mud on Ms. Becca, a beloved teacher. One student exclaimed, “This mud will make your skin so soft! You’ll be a pretty princess!” The fun and light-hearted atmosphere extended beyond the classroom as parents and students shared their experiences.

One parent commented, “We are still cleaning mud out of him, but he slept all weekend, so he must have had fun!” Another parent remarked, “She liked it, didn’t you, Lucy? Didn’t it taste good?” A student chimed in with excitement, “I liked it! Ms. Heather got dirty!”

International Mud Day at KLA Schools provided a unique opportunity for children to connect with nature and engage in unstructured play, which is essential for their overall development. The event was a resounding success, creating lasting memories for everyone involved.
