KLA Schools Annual Fine Arts Festival Raises Funds for KidsMatter

Naperville, IL – On Thursday, July 25th, KLA Schools hosted their annual Fine Arts Festival, showcasing the creative talents of their students. The event featured a curated art gallery in the Piazza and hallway, displaying children's artwork created using a variety of mediums and techniques. Additionally, students crafted three-dimensional structures with clay, cardboard, and recyclable materials, highlighting their creativity and environmental awareness.

The festival included a silent auction, raising a total of $795: Plainfield collected $380, Naperville raised $215, and Naperville West contributed $200. All proceeds from the Fine Arts Festival will be donated to KidsMatter, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building resilient children who make positive choices and explore their endless possibilities. Since 2001, KidsMatter has collaborated with mental health professionals, schools, public safety agencies, faith-based communities, and local businesses to support families and children.

Parents and families expressed their admiration for the young artists. One parent, Patti Kelly, exclaimed, "I love seeing all of the children’s artwork out for display!" Ms. Payton added, "It's so fun to see all of the artwork. The kids did amazing."

The excitement was palpable when families discovered their winning bids. Taryn, one of the children, jumped up and down in excitement, saying, "I really wanted that!"

The Fine Arts Festival was a resounding success, not only in celebrating the children's artistic achievements but also in contributing to a worthy cause. KLA Schools look forward to continuing this tradition and supporting the mission of KidsMatter.
