Celebrating Grandparents at KLA Schools

On Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting a special Grandparents Day event across our KLA Schools campuses. The event was a heartwarming celebration of the unique bond between our students and their grandparents, who shared a variety of memorable experiences together.

The day was filled with joy and connection, as children eagerly welcomed their grandparents into their school environment. One touching moment occurred when Freya, a 4-year-old student, ran to the door to greet her grandmother with a hug, exclaiming, “My grandma is here!” Conner, from our 2s class, proudly introduced his “Pop” to everyone. The children’s excitement and pride in showcasing their school environment were evident.

We were thrilled to welcome close to 80 grandparents at our Naperville West campus alone, and the event was equally well-attended at our other locations. Many of the grandparents took the opportunity to express their appreciation for the school’s inviting atmosphere and the beautiful spaces. One grandparent, a retired elementary school teacher, commented on how open and welcoming the environment was for children.

Other grandparents, like Conner’s “Pop,” shared their positive experiences, saying, “It was wonderful, and we have a beautiful school.” The McCuen grandparents echoed this sentiment, thanking the staff and expressing how much they enjoyed the event.


Overall, the day was a resounding success, filled with smiles, laughter, and cherished memories. The event reinforced the close-knit community we strive to foster at KLA Schools, where family involvement plays an integral role in the children’s development.


We are deeply grateful to all the grandparents who attended and to our dedicated team for organizing such a wonderful day. We look forward to hosting more events that bring our KLA Schools family together.
